Meet Bob

New Leadership Delivering Results for our Community

About me

My name is Bob Quinn

Originally from County Galway, I’ve lived in Naas more than 15 years. As a dad to three kids I’m no stranger to the challenges of raising young children. I’m a financial planner by trade and I am putting the skills I’ve developed over 13 years in business to work for the benefit of Naas. I am dogged in my attitude to cutting through bureaucracy to make Naas a better and more sustainable place in which to live at any age.

I set up my business in 2010 and working in and for Naas has been important to me since moving here. I’ve been active in business, residents’, and community groups for many years; for example, I was Company Secretary and Director of Landen Park Owners Management Company while I lived there.

My first foray into local government was my position on the Local Community Development Committee (LCDC) as the Public Participation Network (PPN) environmental representative. I served for two and a half years before my co-option as Green Party Councillor for the Naas Municipal District. The LCDC is about the partnership between community groups, elected representatives and the local authority. During my time there I learned the importance of finding what works for everyone who co-exists in a town like Naas and what it takes to bring different groups and bodies together to achieve the greater good.

How did I get here?

I was nominated by the Green Party in the Naas Municipal District to take the seat on Kildare County Council vacated by Colm Kenny, who reluctantly resigned as Councillor in April 2023 due to work commitments.
